A New Look!
I recently thought that I needed to update my blog a little bit. It had the same layout and same style for as long as I can remember, and I just needed a change. I found this new theme on WordPress that I thought was just simple and looked great! It is very techy and modern and that is what I am going for! So I hope you all like it.
Also this is the first post I have made in February, and that is because I have been so busy with school that I just haven’t had the time to update any posts. But I will let you know that there will be a lot more coming very soon! So make sure you come back and check that out because I have some awesome new things to let you know about!
MobileMe
About 2 days ago, I thought I would buy myself a year subscription to MobileMe. At first it seems to be very expensive for the amount of stuff you really get, but in the long run, it is really useful and worth all the money. I told myself this year that if I got an iPhone, I would buy MobileMe, but if I didn’t, I wouldn’t buy it.
My reasons for that are very simple. MobileMe is great for your Mac or PC, just with the email, the online storage, and keeping your contacts and calendars are stored in the “cloud” to view anytime. So that is why, for me, MobileMe wouldn’t be as useful as I would like it to be for the price of $109.00 here in Canada.
But with the iPhone, you can have your MobileMe email with you at all time, all your calender, contacts, etc, are synced across all platforms, meaning if I update a contact on my Mac, it syncs to my iPhone and vise versa with all calendars, bookmarks, email accounts, etc. It also allows me to view what I have on my iDisk with the Free app from Apple, I can locate my iPhone right down to the street from the MobileMe website, I can remotely wipe my iPhone if it gets stolen, and the list goes on and on.
From what you can probably see now, is that if you have a iPhone, MobileMe is a lot more useful to you than just having a computer with your MobileMe account on it.
iPhone Wallpapers!
I have recently created another webpage just for the purpose of iPhone wallpapers. I know how much I love changing my iPhone wallpaper so I thought I would share all the ones I use with other people so they can enjoy them too. All you need to do is go to the right side of this website, and click on the picture of the iPhone at the top, it will then take you to another webpage of mine and there you can browse through and look for wallpapers you would use. Once you find the ones you want, you click on them and click download and then from them get them on your iPhone by whatever method you use. You can watch a video I made to learn a little bit more about it.
Merging PDF Files
With a new project I am creating for the online world, I needed to have multiple PDF documents into one PDF file for people to download. So looking though my Mac, I couldn’t find anything that would automatically do it so I started to research and came across this website. It is called MergePDF.net and what it does is takes a maximum of 10 PDF documents and combines them into one file and from there you can than save it to your computer and do with it what you will. The only restriction is that each file needs to be below 5MB. Now if your thinking that you need to combine more than 10 files, what I think you can do is combine your first 10, then upload that 10 page PDF file along with 9 other pages and it will merge the 10 page PDF and the new 9 pages into one and you can keep doing it like that. I think this is a really great thing and because it is free you don’t need to waste your money on software that will give you the same results. So check this out if its something you are looking for. Also details on that project I am working will be reviled soon.
Why Private Domain Registration Is Important

Everyone that owns a website or at least a domain should be informed about domain Private Registration. If you buy a whole package where ever you get your domain name and hosting they probably give you Private Registration included but some places you need to pay an extra 8 or 9 dollars, at GoDaddy.com for example.
For those who don’t know what private registration is, it is basically when you register for a domain name, all your information is put into a Whois Database. The scary thing about this is that this Database is can be viewed by anyone who has the internet. If you go to any website that has anything to do with “Whois” you can find information on any website you put in.
Now, without private registration, your full name, street address, phone number, email address along with many other things are displayed for everyone to see. But with the aid of private registration, all your information is hidden and it displays your domain providers information for example, GoDaddy’s contact information and address for their office.
I had learned about Private Registration a while ago but forgot about it, and now I know I want to be safe when im out on the internet, so last night I went and got my Private Registration. I recommend that everyone who owns a domain to get private registration. You don’t want all your personal information out there on the internet for the world to see.
