Security Flaw in Mac Computers!

July 30, 2009

Sick-MacA Mac Security Expert has uncovered a method that hackers could use to take control of apple computers and steal data that is originally scrambled to protect it from identity thieves.

The technique exploits a vulnerability in the Mac OS X operating system, the heart of the machine. It then can take control of Apple’s Safari browser logging passwords to financial accounts and data on bank statements along with passwords for other things too.

Since Macintosh computers are gaining in popularity, it’s only a matter of time before hackers start focusing on this flaw.

This software flaw was disclosed at the Black Hat security center in Las Vegas, one of the world’s top forums for exchanging information and internet attacks.

About 4000 security professionals were in attendance, and what makes me personally feel a lot worse is that a part of those 4000 professionals are hackers themselves.

Since it stated in the article that it takes control of Safari, I personally suggest switching to Firefox!
